How to upload

Uploading a wip is easy! Just select 'Upload' from the menu above, then select your song and hit 'submit'. When done, you'll be taken to a page confirming your upload, and there will be a link to your specific song that you can share

How long are my uploads good for?

Uploads are currently good for 3 weeks. This may be increased in the future if requested.

The page looks odd/the player doesn't work right

If you're using firefox, please update to Flash 10; There is a known bug with previous versions and multiple flash elements in some circumstances. If the flash player isn't playing correctly, odds are the file isn't 44100khz, which is a requirement of Flash. Re-encode, or simply use a direct download link to the file. (Or re-encode it in 44100khz!)

Do I need to register to upload, play, or download songs?

Nope! There may be an optional registration system later to enable deletion of your own uploads, and enable longer term storage, but only if requested

Why is this service free?

This site is developed and hosted by FireSlash, as free service for remixers to share ideas and feedback. It's hosted under spare bandwidth not used by other sites, and will continue to be done as such unless bandwidth becomes an issue in the future.

What can I do to help support this service?

First off; don't. I host this service under a server I'm already paying for anyway, so there isn't any additional cost for me. The development of this system didn't take long, and I'm doing this because I want to give back to the community. If you have money you just have to donate somewhere, consider contributing to ocremix, those are hosting bills I'd hate to be paying at the end of the month.
